Hello dear friends and colleagues!

We would like to announce that the international drummer’s and percussionist’s festival BaTTerra (Republic of Moldova) will take place between September 24-26 in Chisinau.

The exact location of the event will be announced shortly.

We are also happy to let you inow that we have been declared winners in the competition for state funding for cultural projects for non-commercial organizations announced by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova and we will have a sufficient financial support for this year's edition.

There are about three months left until the festival and during this time we propose to organize a series of concerts where participants from the previous edition will perform along with guests for this year’s edition.

The concerts will take place biweekly, on Thursdays, starting from June 27, 2024, after working hours, so that during the summer period we will all have the option to spend some evenings in a place where we can relax and listen to quality music .

This gigs will go on as BaTTerra Nights  series and will take place in the bar hall of the San Mari restaurant, 105 Inculeț str., Chisinau.

These concerts will have a more special format:

Each band will come on stage with 8-12 songs, and among them we will broadcast videos from the concerts of those groups and artists, from whom musicians got inspired and where driven in its activity.

Also, we will have some numbers where children - students studying drums / percussion instruments will perform.

At the end of each day we will organize a jam session with previously announced musical themes.

Jam Session

On May 24, at 6:30 p.m., will take place Riccardo Merlini's Masterclass - he is the fastest drummer on the planet, included in the Guinness Book of Records.

We will have the opportunity to get to know his unique technique and learn it under his mentorship.

We will need to bring our own drumsticks, a drumpad and a stand.

Duration - 3 hours

Everyone is welcome to participate.

The BaTTerra festival is a non-profit event organized by the "ArtCord" association.

All funds accumulated from ticket sales, merch, donations, will go to cover the organization expenses and to the festival participants to recover their own travel expenses, rehearsals, food, etc., in a 50/50 formula.

The accumulated figure will be announced at the closing ceremony.

All participants in the basic program will receive the same amount in an equal and democratical manner.

The festival will take place in the premises of the restaurant "San Mari", Chisinau, Ion Inculeț Street 105.
